REMEMBER TO BRING:

1. COMPLETED Refresher Study Guide that was published in the Summer 2008 "ON Scene" THE JOURNAL OF OUTDOOR EMERGENCY CARE MAGAZINE.

2. CARDS: OEC Technician, CPR, Patrol Registration or Associate

3. SPSP Member Registration Fee - Yet to be determined (so bring your checkbook).

4. First Aid Supplies - Fanny Belt, Vest, Pack, and writing material that you would use on the hill, Lunch, snacks, beverages.



Santiam Pass Ski Patrol's OEC Refresher Policy is:

In a three year period only one year may be attended at another area's OEC refresher.

Remember, the OEC Refresher is REQUIRED in order to patrol. Anyone planning to attend another patrol's refresher needs to contact Laurie Coventry. Phone: 541-491-1204 or email to: oec@santiampassskipatrol.org .




You can get the study guide on line.   Here is how:

1.  Go to http://www.nsp.org
2.  Log in with your member # and password
3.  On the left side under "Member Services", click on My Bookshelf
4.  On the right side under "Reference & Resource Materials: ", click on Downloads link
5.  You will be prompted the first time in to agree with the Download Conditions. Select the check box that you accept the conditions and click the OK button.
6.  Under the Outdoor Emergency Care there are 2 choices of Refresher Study Guide Cycle A (.pdf)  and You Are the Rescuer (.doc)
7.  Once you click on either of those you will have the choice to just OPEN the document or SAVE it somewhere.
8.  Then you can decide whether to print it out or just save it and look at on your computer.
